Experiences on the theme Heimat
A journey like no other
The aim with this interactive exhibition is to create an experience based understanding of how it is to be a refugee.
The performance simulates the migration process. The process is interlaced in the educational process of the local high schools. During the main event participants takes the role of refugees and are treated as such.
Result: The project has been performed in three cities in Sweden Stockholm. As a total approximately 4000 individuals has participated.
The migration board of Sweden
A workshop aiming to give a perspective change designed for handling officers in the govenrmental organization of Migration.
A three step workshop where the participants first take the role of sending their child alone to Sweden to aviod a cathastrophy. Later on the participants act as policy makers on the Migration board, finally the take their own role of handling officers acting upon the policys they them self have made. The workshop is supported by one real time diroctor and one actor.
Result: The workshop is used as a part of a further education for handling officers. The participants are expressing positive feelings on the complex image of viewing the system from different perspectives.
Kriget och Festen / La fiesta y la guierra
A pilot project i Colombia trying to combine dance, dilogue, narrative analasies and social work within the decplacado (interna refugee) community of Colombia.
A four month work with many parallell groups in Colombia has been conducted during the summer of 2008. The result of the different processes is beeing analyses whilst writing this and a national project departing from the work is hoped to belaunched during 2009 in co operation with a major NGO, Nuevo Arco Iris.
